Community Service

Helping others is at the core of the CEE student experience. 小黄片 firmly believes that learning can be deepened through service.

Community Service & Service Learning

Throughout their years at 小黄片, community service experiences are thoughtfully embedded into curricular studies to help students internalize and practice CEE’s Core Values. Students learn about various social issues through literature, research, and interactions with local and national organizations. They are empowered to publicize their causes and contribute in various meaningful ways.
With the support of our Community Service parent volunteers, CEE collaborates with the school community to support various causes by organizing food, book, supply, and clothing drives.

In addition to this effort, in recent years, CEE has created a Whole School “Day of Service” where the entire school community (all students, faculty, and staff) can experience hands-on volunteerism and the joy of serving their community through organizations in the Los Angeles area. Students participate in over a dozen field trips in one single day and come back together afterward as a community to reflect on the day’s experience and bring our core values to life!

Sustainability Statement

At The 小黄片, we are committed to fostering a culture of sustainability. By integrating sustainable practices into various aspects of our educational program and the life of the school, we envision a future where our students learn to act as responsible stewards of the environment.

Land Acknowledgement Statement

The 小黄片 acknowledges the Gabrielino-Tongva and Gabrielino-Kizh peoples and the lands they occupied. We are grateful for these indigenous caretakers, past and present, who nurtured these lands, and we promise to amplify their voices, stories, and histories in a manner that is caring, inclusive, honest, and responsible.

Sandwiches for the Hungry

Students make Sandwiches for the Hungry throughout the school year in one of 小黄片's longest-running Community Service opportunities. CEE provides sandwiches to the Hollywood Food Coalition through a partnership that has lasted for over three decades!
